The Feng Shui Cure

In today’s competitive real estate market, staging a home is one of the most important things a seller can do.   But there’s more to it than just looking good.  Modern Feng Shui…the art of placement…combines age-old wisdom with psychological research to identify the things that make people respond positively to a setting.  Feng Shui, home staging, and many years of real estate experience helped Steve create a unique perspective on getting a home ready to sell or just creating a more harmonious environment.  That’s why Steve calls it The Feng Shui Cure.

The husband and wife team of Steve and Gwen Kodad have many years in education and training.  Gwen has a PhD in psychology, has taught at universities, and has been an associate superintendent in public schools.   Steve has a masters degree in education, has taught in the corporate world (AT&T), in public and private schools, and in colleges.   Both are certified home stagers and have extensive experience buying and selling real estate.  Steve has his real estate license in both North and South Carolina, and was co-owner of a successful mid-size real estate company in Charlotte, North Carolina.  

Steve started using Feng Shui with dramatic results on his listings, and became fascinated with the subtle yet powerful effect it had on potential buyers.  He went on to become a Certified Feng Shui Practitioner by studying with well-known Helen and James Jay of California.  He has since studied extensively with other Feng Shui authors and trainers, including Holly Ziegler, Karen Rauch Carter, and Nancilee Wydra.   He has written the book, Feng Shui for the Real Estate Agent (and the Homeowner Too!), which is available at Borders, Barnes & Noble, and on Amazon.  Together, Steve and Gwen have discovered that Feng Shui and home staging are powerful complements to each other.

Currently, Steve and Gwen are working on a second book, tentatively titled Home Staging with Feng Shui.   They have developed a 3-day certification workshop which combines home staging techniques and Feng Shui.  The certification has been approved by RESA (Real Estate Staging Association) and additional information is available through the link on the home page.
